A gorgeous cafe on the corner of Brighton and Palace Streets. Top quality food, great coffee and a park across the street, this place is a must try!
This cafe serves breakfast all day, lunch from midday and offer a 4 course supper on Friday evenings. Their menu has a large proportion of gluten free options and all of them are yummy! There are many vegan options also.

We decided to check out Brighton the Corner for breakfast and we're glad we did! The cafe has a warm and inviting feel, there's plenty of space for a pram. There's a large share table in the centre or you can choose one of the smaller tables for two. There are two dining sections to choose from, the back is a very inviting sun-drenched area with plenty of room for a couple of prams - there's no tricky pram manoeuvring required in here, both areas have easy access from the footpath. There's also some sidewalk seating if that's your style and you want to coffee and watch the world go by.
They have a small but really interesting menu think 'house made crumpets, blueberry compote & local honey butter with bacon' ($14) or 'hot smoked salmon frittata, capers, cherry tomato, parmesan' ($17). About 70% of the menu is gluten free and about half of the menu can be easily made vegan also.
We had the 'House made granola and yoghurt, poached fruit, nuts and seeds' ($12). The granola and yoghurt are both made in house as is the poached fruit. It was delicious and a really great way to start the day!. We also tried the 'poached eggs on sourdough with a side order of bacon and hash browns' ($16) - bright orange egg yolks from those free range eggs and gorgeous little crunchy hash brown balls, yum! The Little Marionette coffee was excellent.
There are a number of lunch options served from midday. The 'Brighton Cheeseburger with hand cut chips' ($15), sandwiches including 'Roast Pork, fennel slaw with caramelised apple' ($11) and salads also. They also serve cold pressed juices ($6) and their house made sodas ($4.50) look delicious!
Brighton the Corner are also open for dinner on Friday night from 6pm - 4 courses for $50. A great Date Night option!
There's no kids menu but they do offer lots of sides which is always a good option for kids. They also have sourdough toast with a selection of spreads to choose from, the crumpets are also a winner for kids. There's a pile of Ikea highchairs (which were nice and clean!). About half the customers in the cafe while we were there had kids with them. After a lovely meal or a coffee with a yummy tart or croissant, you can wander up to the Brighton Street Reserve for a play!
