Sydney's Inner West
This very large, historic park provides plenty of space for walk, rest and play! It includes one of the best playgrounds in Sydney's Inner West and is a huge, peaceful, green space in the inner city.
The Camperdown Memorial Rest Park is a massive park! and a great place to run around, kick a ball, just do nothing or head to the playground. There is an off-leash dog section to the park between the hours of 5.00 pm - 9.00 am and only on the Federation Road side of the park.
The playground is fantastic, naturally landscaped with stone and timber. There's a big sandpit, a twisty slide, a wobbly bridge, swings and lots of interesting things to do and explore. The playground is fully fenced, has a shade sail and is a really great toddler experience. There are a number of seats inside the fence. Best playground access is from Australia Street.
The park has great network of pathways suitable for scootering or riding a bike.
The Magic Yellow Bus mobile playgroup pays Camperdown Memorial Rest Park a visit every Wednesday from 9.30 am - 12.30 pm. It's a great way to make new friends and enjoy some new experiences!
Nice place to while away the afternoon. Get a take-away lunch from King Street and wander up and eat in the park. Bigger kids have fun just kicking a ball or playing games and the playground is a hit with every age! Bring the dog too!
