Sydney's Inner West
Iconic Enmore Park is located near the boundary of Enmore and Marrickville and for many years has provided locals with a great green space with plenty for the kids (and adults) to do. Within the park are a playground and large, flat, grassed areas and there are a few cafes nearby. The Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre is also located within the confines of the park.
The playground in Enmore Park is recognisable by the 'rocket' and is suitable for all ages and abilities. It has swings, slides, a spider climbing net, see-saws and spring ride-on equipment, all located under a sail shade and over a soft-fall surface.
The park is also a favourite because of it's flat, open space. This space is great for all types of ball games, learning to ride your bike or just a family picnic in the park!
The Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre was renovated a few years ago and now boasts a modern swimming facility. It comprises an indoor, heated 8 lane, 50m pool, a learn-to-swim/hydrotherapy pool and a kids splash pool with fountains and water features to keep the kids amused.
Kellermans Cafe is located within the Aquatic Centre. The Petty Cash Cafe is across the road for a great coffee or an amazing breakfast.
Parking is available in surrounding streets and the park is a short stroll from Marrickville Metro shopping centre.
Every Thursday the Magic Yellow Bus mobile playgroup pays Enmore park a visit from 9.30am - 12.30pm. This mobile playgroup for under 5's provides activities, toys, story time and plenty of general fun and is a great way to meet other parents and children.
A family favourite! Enmore Park is an Inner West fixture and for good reason. A beautiful park with plenty of space, shade and heaps of amusement to keep the kids entertained for hours.
Australia Day is a big event every year in Enmore Park with citizenship ceremonies, heaps of free activities and a fireworks display.
