Sydney's Inner West
Li'l Crafters is a place for little people to explore their creative side with lots of fun thrown in!
Li'l Crafters is a fantastic craft based activity held at Mcneilly Park in Marrickville.
The focus is for kids to get hands on and dirty if needed to discover new textures, materials and skills while the focus is on fun. Paired with stories and songs this is a well rounded activity for your preschool kids.
There are two classes held during the week Wednesdays at 10.30am and Friday at 10am. Check their facebook page for the latest class information.
We have been wanting to check out Li'l Crafters for quite some time and we finally made it! It is the perfect wet weather activity as it is held on the community hall at McNeilly Park in Marrickville. However, if the sun is shining, the activities can move outside.
The class was really well structured, with the first half being a prepared activity where the kids produce an artwork to take home.
The second half is a more hands on messy experience where the kids get to experiment and explore their creative side. In our session the kids were able to make their own finger paint using a jar, a couple of marbles, shaving foam and food colouring.
Our kids (aged 3 and 2) had a great time. Both girls were extremely happy with their rainbow artworks, and they really loved the fun and mess of the second activity.
As a parent - I love the fact the messy activity isn't at my house!
Highly recommend you give Li'l Crafters a go!
