One of the most common questions asked by parents is what is the right age for children to start to learn how to play the guitar? Morello Guitar School's answer to this is that children are ready to learn how to play the guitar as soon as they are capable of sitting upright with a guitar in their hands. For most children this is around the age of 3 or 4.
Children between the age of 3 and 4 are very capable of learning the basics of music. Studies have show that learning a musical instrument at an early age enhances the development of both the cognitive and motor skills of children.
Morello Guitar School teaches the G4GUITAR Method which is unique because it is designed to help develop skills through focused proven teaching strategies. For students between the ages of 4 and 7 we have a young beginners program which is designed to be fun and focused on building confidence. At this age it's all about building a positive association with playing the guitar.
This Young Beginners program begins with their 5 Week Introduction. This program introduces the basics of playing the guitar in a fun and interactive way. They are private one on one lessons, 30 minutes in duration and happen once a week.
The 5 Week Young Beginners Program costs $199 which includes a G4 Guitar Folder containing all the learning materials and the Young Beginners Progressive Guitar Method Book.
