Sydney's Inner West
Nieo's Grille is a casual dining option that's recently opened in Earlwood. Heaps of fresh options, awesome chicken and a great option for kids!
Nieo's Grille is both a casual dining restaurant, open for both lunch and dinner, but it also has a takeaway section (think modernised corner take-away chicken shop) with excellent charcoal chicken and an amazing range of salads and deserts - you can even get a humble bacon & egg roll!
Wow great fit-out! This humble corner chicken shop has recently expanded and renovated. The eat-in area looks excellent and the take-away section has a huge selection of very fresh salads and great take-away menu. We have it on good authority that Nieo's make one of the best chicken burgers you'll find!
We finally made it to Nieo's Grille last week with two little ones in tow. Walking into the eat-in restaurant area was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant section has had a modern fit-out that has a fresh, funky feel to it. Lots of wood, mediterranean inspired tiles, exposed brick and some funky lighting make this little casual dining area very inviting.
Greeted immediately with a friendly smile, the staff were very accommodating and attentive, immediately delivering a kids activity sheet (which includes the menu) and some coloured pencils to the table. Great!
The kids menu is $12 per child and includes an ice-cream. The meal options include souvlaki, a kids chicken burger, clamari, steak or a schnitzel and all are served with chips or salad. We found the servings very generous for our little ones and the ice-cream is always popular!
The big-kids menu is pretty extensive too! There's some pretty traditional mediterranean entrees on the menu such as a Mixed Dip Plate ($14.50) and grilled Haloumi ($9.50) - we had to try both and they were delicious. The portions are generous and we probably could have stopped there... but we didn't! We also had the Salmon, Rocket & Avocado Salad ($19) and we had to try some chicken - we chose the flat Greek charcoal variety - yum!
We spotted a big stack of high chairs and a bathroom fitted with change facilities too, there's plenty of room for a pram also with lots of tables of different sizes and shapes.
Overall, we loved it! We enjoyed our eat-in meal and felt very comfortable there with our kids. The food was enjoyable and if you haven't got time to eat-in then the takeaway options look every bit as good.
