Sydney's Inner West
This lovely historic park has everything! A sports ground, playground, the Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre, a bandstand, gardens, toilets, BBQ and picnic area and Magic Yellow Bus visits too!
Surrounded by a low stone wall and featuring planting and landscaping, this historic park is a beautiful old park which is very popular among Inner West locals. It features a cricket ground, grandstand and scoreboard, all dating back to the 1920's and 30's. The band rotunda is circa 1902!
The Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre is located in the south eastern corner of the park and has been newly refurbished.
The kids playground has everything a kid could want all over a soft fall surface. There's heaps of awesome climbing equipment suitable for the bigger kids, but also see-saws, a merry-go-round, spring riders and swings. BBQs and picnic tables are well positioned for a birthday party or just a family get-together!
Every Monday the Magic Yellow Bus visits the park with free kids activities, particularly for the under 5's.
Petersham Park is lovely and has enormous trees, an ornate band stand and a lovely little picket fenced cricket oval where Don Bradman made his first class debut. Plenty of new play equipment and popular for children’s birthday parties.
