Swimming in the Inner West!

Here are our top picks for taking a dip in the Inner West!

Splashers Water Playground @ Sydney's Olympic Swimming Centre

There is something exciting about swimming in the pool where so many Gold medals were won. As an added bonus, the Olympic Swimming Centre has one of the best indoor water playgrounds around. There is a slide, climbing area, whirlpool and of course the huge bucket!

Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre

Located in gorgeous Enmore Park, you can choose from 3 pools at the Annette Kellerman pool. There is a small, but fun splash pool. Smaller pool for lessons and play and the 50 metre pool. You can finish your swim with a snack from the cafe and a play in the park!

Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre

Fanny Durack is a sentimental favourite - this lovely outdoor pool is perfect for the whole family. There is a toddler pool, large pool and a small water play area. There is also plenty of grass to spread your towel out and lie back and relax. A new cafe has opened up, and of course you are right next door to the beautiful Petersham Park! This pool closes for winter - although they have extended their opening to include April!

Ashfield Aquatic Centre

One of the bigger pool complexes in the Inner West Ashfield Aquatic Centre has 4 pools, indoor and outdoor. One of the highlights - there is free child minding provided by Ashfield Council on Tuesdays and Thursdays! They also run a fantastic school holiday program....

Dawn Fraser Baths

Hands down, our favourite spot to swim in the Inner West. Dawn Fraser Baths are open over the warmer months and close from April to October. When the time comes, pack up the family and take them to this iconic Sydney swimming spot. At high tide, jump off the pontoon, or take a leisurely float around. At low tide a beach appears, and the kids can start building sand castles!
