Sydney's Inner West
Historic Weekley Park is a traditional park in every sense, with ornamental gardens, huge old trees and paved pathways. Kids have a ball here just running around, scootering or having fun on the excellent play equipment.
Walking into this gorgeous old park is like stepping back in time... but with a few modern conveniences added for kids. The playground is great and suitable for all ages. It contains big and little swings, a spring see-saw, a merry-go-round and a climbing structure with slide. It also has a cubby house play structure with a little tunnel for the little ones. There is a picnic table right next to the playground.
There are chess tables in the opposite corner of the park (BYO chess pieces) and numerous benches and seats around to enjoy this lovely park.
Lovely park and great little playground. Excellent park for early summer dinners with the picnic table right next to the playground, BYO or order from the equally traditional Adam's Pizza! It's also perfect for a wander after lunch or an early dinner at The Salisbury Hotel. Keep it in mind as a great birthday party venue too.
