Details

Featuring giant sandy sculptures and LEGO® models of the city’s iconic coastal landscape and an alluring ‘hands-on’ augmented sandbox, the exhibition is all about creativity, fun and imaginative play.

Inspired by the popularity of our recent interactive LEGO® exhibitions, Sand in the City combines all the fun and possibilities of scooping, sculpting and shaping sand with Sydney’s insatiable love of the seaside.

Go to work on your own Sydney sandcastle, or build a beach-inspired LEGO® creation. Form your own harbour waterway with a giant digital sandbox: dig a hole and an overhead video projector fills it with water; form a headland and the landscape turns green.
