Historic Weekley Park is a traditional park in every sense, with ornamental gardens, huge old trees and paved pathways. Kids have a ball here just running around, scootering or having fun on the excellent play equipment.

Iconic Enmore Park is located near the boundary of Enmore and Marrickville and for many years has provided locals with a great green space with plenty for the kids (and adults) to do. AB Croft Playground is a small park that allows you to view the Dibble Avenue Waterhole, unless you are lucky enough to live in a property that overlooks the Waterhole.
Mackey Park is a popular sports ground and hosts plenty of soccer in winter. It's home to the Marrickville Football Club and the Red Devils Football Academy. It also boasts a great playground.

Blaxland Riverside Park is an amazing parkland space along side Parramatta River and there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained!
Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre, in the tranquil surrounds of Petersham Park, is a great place to have a dip, do some laps, or just to bring your family for a day out in the sun, BBQ lunch and all!
Inveresk Park is a great little neighbourhood park with a playground that will keep all ages happy!
Located on the foreshore in Balmain, Elkington Park is a big, stately, historic park with amazing views . It includes White Horse Point which looks out towards Cockatoo Island. The Dawn Fraser Baths are also located within the park.
The Dawn Fraser Baths is a tidal flow salt water pool on the harbour's edge and located within Elkington Park. At low tide there is a beach for the children to build sandcastles!
Tillman Park is located on Unwins Bridge Rd on the border of Sydenham and Tempe and is a great park for kids of any age. Within it's fence it has a playing field and a playground which has something for everyone.
Peace Park in Ashbury is a huge sprawling park with a lovely playground and lots of room to explore.
Dulwich Hill Skatepark is made up of two sections. Firstly, a rather old and beaten up snake run (with weird coping) that opens to a shallow bowl with a central hump. Its essentially the domain of the BMX’s and that’s about all its good for.
The main section is much newer and the large open area is simply jam packed with quarters, bowls, banks, rails and funboxes. The sizes are varied and range from 3ft up to around 7ft and there’s ample room to carve out great lines. At the lip there’s a variety of extensions and angled coping to play with. The surface is fairly new so it’s fast and smooth and the coping.

Illoura Reserve is a beautiful park on the tip of the Peninsula at Balmain East. It is located adjacent to the Balmain East ferry wharf and offers amazing views of Sydney Harbour and the city. The park runs along the Peninsula all the way to Peacock Point. At Peacock Point there is a sandy beach and tidal pools along the sandstone cliffs.
Yurulbin Park is a gorgeous bushland park with spectacular harbour views. This park was formerly a shipbuilding site but is now a beautiful quiet retreat adjacent to the Birchgrove Ferry Wharf.
This 2.6-hectare park offers walking paths and green picnic spots with incredible views of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Ewenton Park is a large, mostly flat, park along the water's edge with great views of the city and Sydney Harbour.
Catering for soccer enthusiasts, the park also includes a children's playground, spectator viewing, open space and a green background to the suburb of St Peters.
Located in the backstreets of Tempe this pocket playground is on the corner of Toyer Street and Collins Street.
Simpson Park is a medium sized park in St Peters, located on Campbell Road. It has many facilities and offers something for everyone.

Birchgrove Park is a waterfront park on Snails Bay with great Sydney Harbour views and surrounds famous Birchgrove Oval, the "Home of Rugby League".
Tempe Reserve is a large multi-purpose recreation area with something for kids and parents. It is located on the Cooks River waters edge and provides a beautiful spot to enjoy some sunshine with the kids. It is also home to the Jets Sports Club and the Cooks River Motorboat Club.
Kendrick Park is located on the Cooks River a short walk, scooter or bike ride from Tempe railway station, around the river towards the Princes Highway. The Cooks River Cycle Path passes right through the park. It has great open grass areas, shady trees, a small playground and BBQ facilities.
An oval, playground and tennis centre all close to each other with a coffee shop less than 100 metres from the playground. An amenities block, park benches, equipment for bigger and little kids, fenced area, and a car park make it an easy place to visit with kids.
Arlington Recreation Reserve is a playing field, compete with grandstand and is located on Williams parade, Dulwich Hill. Arlington Reserve was once a series of deep brick pits and was filled in to create this green space in 1932. During the 1938 British Empire Games, women athletes competed at Arlington Oval.

William Stuart playground, located within the Whites Creek Valley Park, is more than just a playground! It also includes a skate park, basketball court and lots of green space.
The College Street Playground is in fact a large park with a playground situated in the middle!

Algie Park is a large sporting field, with a small playground overlooking the oval.
Hammond park is a lovely playground and sporting field located in Haberfield with the busy Frederick Street on one side. The sporting field has a cricket pitch in the middle, free tennis court and fantastic play equipment for the kids.
Robson Park is huge! A beautiful parkland area in Haberfield with lots of open space, playground equipment, water views over the bay and covered picnic tables scattered around. It is bordered by the Dobroyd Parade, so be prepared for lots of traffic passing by.
Lovely fenced playground, an easy walk from Leichhardt Marketplace.
The naming of this park translates to People Place. This honours the Wangal ancestors of the area who are the traditional custodians of the land where the park is situated.
Crammond Park is a small park with playground near Stanmore Station on the southern side of the railway line.
Montague Gardens are located on Cambridge Street, Stanmore and is an old park with a partial stone fence.
Ryan Park is located on Stanmore Road, Enmore and is a lovely old park with heaps of space.

Stanmore Reserve is a grassy rest area which surrounds Stanmore Library.
This playground is in an old park with a traditional sandstone fence. It's not fully fenced but the playground is in a quiet street set in the far back corner of the park.
Collyer Playground is a small neighbourhood park with playground equipment and some amazing art on the surrounding walls.
Matt Hogan Reserve runs between Camden Street and Alice Street and is accessible from either side. The playground is situated on the Camden Street end and while it's unshaded it is partially fenced, there is some tree shade over the picnic tables.
This playground is on the corner of Albermarle Street and Denison Street. It has a fence and hedge around it and some lovely shady trees.
A small, corner playground on Chelmsford Street, suitable for little ones.
This small playground is located at the corner of Bedford Street and Albert Street, right opposite the railway line.

Ashfield Aquatic Centre consists of a complex of 4 pools, three outdoor heated pools and one indoor heated pool. The indoor pool is open all year. The centre has childminding facilities, cafe, parking, lockers, cubicles and hot showers.
Lovely park with kids playground and a shade canopy. There is also a dog exercise area and it's surrounded by lovely Victorian terrace houses. It is a a well maintained and loved park.

Thornton Park is a small, quaint park on the waterfront with spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It's nestled between waterfront houses and the Balmain East Ferry Wharf.
Mort Bay is a large park with numerous open space areas, play areas and great views of Sydney Harbour. Built in 1854, it was Australia's first large scale dry dock. After the World Wars, activity declined due to the depression, in 1958 Mort's Dock and engineering closed.

This lovely historic park has everything! A sports ground, playground, the Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre, a bandstand, gardens, toilets, BBQ and picnic area and Magic Yellow Bus visits too!
Sydenham Green is located between Unwins Bridge Road and the Princes Highway on the site of former residential houses that were bought by the Government to alleviate aircraft noise affected areas. The recreational park was named after the park in London. A series of oversize 'living room' sculptures pay homage to the site's earlier residential use.
